Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24-Hour Eyeshadow. Layin’ Low always comes with me when I travel. Layin’ Low may seem dark on my forearm, but it blends naturally into my eyelid area and is virtually undetectable under neutral shadows such as the Tom Ford Eye Quad in Cocoa Mirage or Cognac Sable. Both the Paint Pots and the Color Tattoos, considering their long-wear formulas, are great at locking down powder shadows, helping eye looks last all day. Layin’ Low turned out to be HG status because – dare I say it – they are “my eyelids but better”! With this reasoning, I’d gotten into the habit of using potted cream eyeshadows as eyeshadow bases rather than as stand-alone products. I didn’t know much about shade matching at the time and felt like Painterly was too pink on me, so I went back and got Layin’ Low and Vintage Selection. The Paint Pots were my first taste of cream eyeshadows in any form, and Painterly was the shade that facilitated my initiation.
